Reiki Energy Healing

          Balancing mind and Body

What is Reiki

Reiki is a holistic form of alternative healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. It involves the transfer of life energy from the practitioner to the client through gentle touch or by placing hands just above the body, creating a nurturing environment. The term "Reiki" is derived from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning universal, and "Ki," which signifies life energy. Practitioners firmly believe that this vital energy can help restore balance and promote healing across physical, emotional, and spiritual levels.

During a typical Reiki session, individuals often experience a profound sense of deep relaxation, which can significantly alleviate stress and anxiety. Many people seek out Reiki for a variety of reasons, including pain relief, emotional support during difficult times, and opportunities for personal growth. The treatment itself is non-invasive and can be seamlessly integrated with other forms of therapy, making it a valuable complementary approach to overall wellness and self-discovery.

Brief Trauma Processing or Single Event Traumas:

These sessions will use a combination of reiki healing and bilateral stimulation, in the form of music, to identify emotions and the areas of the body where the emotions have been stored. The client focuses on any thoughts or feelings arising and how these change during the session. Depending on the severity of the trauma and where the client is in terms of processing relief can be experienced after 1 session but can take several sessions in combination with counseling for more extensive concerns.

Although the process can be intense most people report feeling relaxed and grounded at the end of the session. If you have a diagnosis of PTSD or experience dissociation please speak with your provider to coordinate care prior to setting up session.
